Investment Overview
To qualify, applicants must:
- Contribute €30,000 (if purchasing property) or €60,000 (if renting) to the Maltese government.
- Purchase a property for €375,000+ or rent for €14,000+/year (5-year holding required).
- Pay a non-refundable €50,000 administrative fee.
- Pay €10,000 for each dependant of the Main Applicant;
- Donate €2,000 to a registered Maltese charity.
Investors will also need to be in possession of assets either of at least €500,000 out of which €150,000 shall be in the form of financial assets, or €650,000 in assets, out of which €75,000 shall be in a financial form.
Timeline: In principle approval typically takes 4–6 months, with the full process complete within a year.
