The one day conference focusses on global investment migration programmes in Europe, the Middle East, United States of America and the Caribbean in 2023.
Leading the European investment migration industry, Malta offers a diverse range of solutions for investors catering to their different needs.
Malta, a member of the European Union since 2004, offers a citizenship by investment option, namely Malta Citizenship for Exceptional Services by Direct Investment. Following a residential period of 3 years, or by exception, one year, foreign investors and their family members can apply for the granting of citizenship by naturalisation by contributing to the economic development of the country. The application requires three forms of investment – a capital transfer, investment or leasing of a residential real estate property and a donation to a local charity. Malta also offers permanent residence via the Malta Permanent Residence Programme. This programmes gives third country nationals the opportunity to reside in Malta indefinitely with the granting of a permanent residence certificate.
A newly announced programme is the Malta Startup Residence Programme. This combines setting up a new innovative company in Malta with residence in the country. The programme grants a three year residence permit, extendable for an additional five years for founders and their family members and three years for core employees and their family.
Another Malta programme is the Malta Nomad Residence Permit that allows individuals who earn more than €2,700 per month and work remotely to live in Malta for a period of up to one year. This can be renewed for a further two years.
