Vertex Alliance’s Managing Director, Mr Kenneth Camilleri, was invited this week to speak at the Global Investment Immigration Summit (GIIS) in Istanbul, Turkey.
The one-day conference, that took place on the 24th of September, brought together leading investment migration firms from around the world to discuss the current residency and citizenship solutions for the Turkish market.
Kenneth Camilleri spoke about the current opportunities in Europe, including Malta’s Permanent Residence Programme, Malta’s Citizenship for Exceptional Services by Direct Investment and Portugal’s Golden Visa.
As outlined in his presentation, the Malta and Portugal residence options offer numerous benefits to third-country nationals including visa-free travel within the Schengen Zone and a high quality of life from the Southern European lifestyle and political stability.
Portugal’s Golden Visa Programme offers investors the opportunity to invest in real estate for a minimum of €280,000 and gain the right to live and work in Portugal. Holders of the Golden Visa can then apply for permanent residence or citizenship after a five-year period.
The Malta Permanent Residence Programme gives investors the right to reside and settle in Malta indefinitely. The MPRP extends to up to four generations. Principally dependant grandparents, parents and children of the main applicant and spouse can be included in the application. Additionally, the MPRP offers investors the opportunity to rent rather than purchase property for a minimum of €10,000 per year (for 5 years).
The Malta Citizenship for Exceptional Services by Direct Investment gives investors the opportunity to gain citizenship of Malta, following a three year, or by exception, a one year residential period. Citizenship of Malta allows visa-free travel to over 180 destinations. Malta has been a member of the European Union since 2004.
